Marie-Josée's yummy lemon cheese tarts

It took Marie-Josée a little while to get one of her recipes sent to us. Elle boudait peut-être un peu. No matter, we now have a recipe. Yippee!  


  • 24 Dare Buttery shortbread cookies.
  • 2 packages cream cheese (250g each).
  • 6 oz sugar.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla.
  • 3 large eggs.
  • 1 package lemon pie filling.
  • Maraschino cherries for decoration.


  • Place 24 paper liners in muffin pans.
  • Place cookies on bottom of paper liners.
  • Beat together cream cheese, sugar, vanilla and eggs.
  • Pour into paper liners.
  • Bake 20 minutes at 350 F.
  • In the meantime, prepare lemon pie filling as directed on package. 
  • Pour over cooled tarts. 
  • Decorate each tart with half maraschino cherries. 
  • Enjoy!
