Auntie Doreen made these for friends during Christmas time in 2009. She said they're delicious. It's a recipe she remembered seeing on Canada AM, from a lady in Nova Scotia. The recipe ingredients are shown here for one Hamie, but you can make as many as you have muffin tins in your muffin baking tray, so it's nice and convenient because you can make a lot in one shot.

  • 1 slice of black forest ham (or another other ham is fine too).
  • 1 egg.
  • 1 tablespoon cream (35%).
  • Grated cheese (cheddar or other).
  • 1 English muffin.

  • Place slice of ham at the bottom of a muffin tin.
  • Crack egg on top.
  • Add cream.
  • Add grated cheese.
  • Bake for 16 minutes at 350F (for slightly runny egg) or 20 minutes (for harder egg).
  • Place of top of a toasted English muffin.
